The CA course consists of 3 levels of examination - CA foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final.
CA Foundation is an entry-level examination for students who have completed their +2 and who wish to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy. The CA exam is conducted by the ICAI ( Institute of Chartered Accountants) twice a year. The national level exam consists of 4 papers. Previously the CA exam was called at the CA-CPT exam.
Any student who has completed their +2 or is appearing the +2 examinations is eligible to attend the examinations. All students who are eligible have to register themselves with the Board of Studies and apply for the exam.
The exam will be conducted in May 2020(tentatively). After the official announcement from the ICAI students can then apply for the exams from February 2020.

What is the eligibility for CA Foundation?
Students have to go through an eligibility check to make sure that they are eligible to write the examinations.
How to apply for the CA exams 2020?
The CA foundation registration will begin by February 2020. ICAI will update you about upcoming notifications. Candidates can apply for the exam in the online format for the offline exam.
After registration with the ICAI, the registration will be valid for a period of three years. Students will be permitted to attempt the exams a total of 6 times, twice in a year. You can pay the applicable fee and extend the validity of your registration.
CA Foundation exam pattern
The CA foundation consists of 4 papers. Paper 1 & 2 consists of subjective type questions. Paper 3 & 4 have subjective type questions.

CA Foundation Admit card
The CA foundation admit card will be provided online at the official website by the second weekend of April. Students will receive the admit cards only after the completion of the application and payment process before the last date.
Candidates can download the admit card by logging into the website by using the registration details and password. Basic and necessary details such as name, roll number, signature, photo etc will be there on the admit card.
Students are expected to carry the hard copy of their hall ticket along with the valid ID proofs.
CA Foundation Result
The result of CA foundation will be announced on the official website (icaiexam.icai.org). Students will be notified about the results via SMS and email as the results are published.
Students can get the results by logging into the official website using registration details or passwords. Candidates can also download their scorecard.
