“Wow, you nailed it!” getting applause on the result announcement may be worth your next attempt, but never have a long-lasting effect. Even if you lose or win you need to mold yourself to reach the exam-writing confidence level after every exam.

Master the Previous

Take the previous year's papers as your second teacher.  I know, it pulls you into the question part, but don't forget to look into the question pattern, time for each question, and instructions. Even though these points never stand on the first line, it proposes an idea on how to handle the reading time,  how to commence your writing, how to attend to all the questions within the time, etc.

Study leave - not a starting time

Never jump into writing all of a sudden. Keep moving your eyes on the instruction first, then plan the rest with that. Also, read the questions multiple times until they provide a structure for the answer. Be clear at every point, because vagueness collapses the completeness of the answer.

Answer to the Core

Don't run around the answer or never say something "related" to it. Be specific to the points only and provide a complete description for it will enhance the invigilator's impression. The headlines, bullet points, tables to explain the answer will help to increase the score. Get a clear knowledge about the scoring schemes and answering patterns before your examination.

Focus on every turn

Never go for unwanted thoughts. Attend every question with an accurate justification, leaving unfinished ones may create a negative impact. Be sure that your answer has a proper beginning and ending.    If any question troubles you, at first sight, leave it there and go for a confident one. But do not forget to get back at the end. 

Every attempt for an examination is important, for a professional degree, the scores can decide the achievements. And there are no trails for a beginner, the only challenge is the completion of the course at the earliest attempt.
